Giving back to the various communities in which we operate is very important to Spark ATM Systems. The company currently has two adopted charities that receive regular donations and assistance, but the company also partakes in ad hoc donations or charitable events when we come across cases that touch our hearts.
In 2011, we sponsored a bursary for a student to study a technical diploma through Boston City Campus. Following his graduation, he will become a full time employee at Spark ATM as a technician.
Our adopted charities include:
Emasithandane is a home/shelter that provides education, food and extra moral programming for orphans, abandoned, abused or HIV/Aid positive children located in Nyanga in the Western Cape. The company makes ongoing and regular donations in the form of groceries, food and toys to the home.
Sisanda FunDaytion is a volunteer-based non-profit organisation that hosts fun days and other specially Developed programmes for disadvantaged and neglected children in Nyanga in the Western Cape. Spark ATM employees partake in “fun” days where they “adopt” up to three children for a day and take them out for a fun excursion they otherwise would never had experienced. One example of such an adventure was taking 45 children to an art workshop, followed by a delicious lunch at Spur and a visit to the Planetarium.
